How Plays Are Chosen For the Provincial MAINSTAGE Festival.
The adjudicator, Mr Keith Digby is the selected adjudicator for the 2008 South Island Zone. Following the final performance, Mr Digby will announce his choice of 'Best Production' and other category awards to honour the achievements of participants. The competitive nature of these events is intended to encourage learning, as participants seek to improve their theatrical skills and enhance their chances of being selected to advance to MAINSTAGE.
The 2008 Mainstage Event will be held at the 'Port Theatre' in Nanaimo.
Coffee Critiques are fun an informative:
You are invited to join us for coffee and goodies at 10:00 am in 'the little theatre green room' following the previous evenings performance. The Green Room is located at the bottom of the steps on the north side of the building.
Adjudicator Keith Digby reviews the play and shares an honest critique with the cast and crew. Lot's of fun, don't miss out!

Mr. Digby has over twenty years' experience as a director and adjudicator with professional theatres in Alberta and BC. He was the Founder of The Phoenix Theatre in Edmonton, former Artistic director of Theatre 3, also in Edmonton, and the Bastion Theatre of BC in Victoria. He is the former Head of Performing Arts at Brentwood College, a private co-ed boarding school on Vancouver Island. He has directed several award winning productions and numerous Canadian premieres across Canada. As well, Mr. Digby is a successful screenwriter. Several of his scripts have been filmed and broadcast in Canada and in the UK, and he currently has a number of scripts optioned, or in production and development. He has been a regular at Theatre BC's Backstage. He runs and offers workshops through his West Coast Screenwriting company.
Theatre BC: Keith has been a popular Adjudicator and Playwriting/Screenwriting Workshop Instructor over the years for Theatre BC and has served as Juror for the Canadian National Playwriting Competition several years.

South Island Zone Adjudicator: Mr Keith Digby
